Forest Road #630 (Ophir Pass Road) is an OHV route that provides a connection between U.S. Highway 550 north of Silverton, CO. to the historic mining town of Ophir. The road traverses over 11,814 foot Ophir Pass, offering alpine views of the upper Ophir Valley and neighboring peaks. It is generally an easy 4-wheel drive road, but is rated as moderate difficulty due to a narrow one-half mile section (on the Ophir side of the Pass) where it is difficult for two vehicles to pass each other. (Uphill traffic should yield to downhill traffic on this section). This road is often driven in combination with either the Black Bear Pass Road or the Tomboy – Imogene (Imogene Pass) roads to form a long loop drive/ride.

Elephant Hill Trail is about a 90 minute drive from Moab and features some fun obstacles and amazing views. We rate this as a mid-moderate, so any stock Jeep with good all-terrain tires should be able to handle it easily.

Senator Highway runs from Crown King to Prescott Arizona. This is an easy scenic drive that can be done in any vehicle with decent clearance with only a couple of areas that will really slow down vehicles with less ground clearance. The main advantage of bigger tires is the ability to air down for a more comfortable ride over the rough and rocky sections.
What we thought was going to be a nice evening drive turned into a wild adventure as we fought the terrain as we lost daylight quickly. This is a good example of what not to do.

If your Jeep JL is not running well, it’s likely that the engine air filter is not performing as it should. While Table Mesa Road is one of the smoothest dirt roads I have ever been on, and certainly doesn’t deserve to be a Badge of Honor Trail, we took some side trails and ended up having a great time.

Broken Arrow Trail is only about a 2 minute drive from Sedona Arizona. Of all of the trails we did in Arizona, Broken Arrow Trail was our favorite due to a combination of incredible views and some fun obstacles. This is a high-moderate trail that is a 3.6 mile out and back trail. High clearance is highly recommended.
Schnebly Hill Road is an easy off-road trail located right outside of Sedona Arizona. What it lacks in difficulty, it makes up for in scenic views. Schnebly Hill Road is a Jeep Badge of Honor trail so make sure you check in with the Jeep Badge of Honor app to add this badge to your Jeep.
