Little Finland is located in Gold Butte National Monument in Nevada with the closest town being Mesquite. It’s a great place for a hike and is generally pretty devoid of people because of the long drive on the dirt road to get there.

I took a road trip in the Jeep JL Unlimited Rubicon to Las Vegas and decided to hit up some trails while I was in the area. Logandale Trails is near Valley of Fire, so it sounded like a good place to go. Some people have described Shelf Road as a scary, narrow road that barely has enough room for a vehicle on it and that it requires a 4×4 with high ground clearance. I found it to be a pretty mellow drive with only a short shelf segment that can be driven by any SUV.
