I took a road trip in the Jeep JL Unlimited Rubicon to Las Vegas and decided to hit up some trails while I was in the area. Logandale Trails is near Valley of Fire, so it sounded like a good place to go. I met up with some great people there and had a blast hitting some obstacles that were harder than anything I had tried before.

Some people have described Shelf Road as a scary, narrow road that barely has enough room for a vehicle on it and that it requires a 4×4 with high ground clearance. I found it to be a pretty mellow drive with only a short shelf segment that can be driven by any SUV.

For a fun little adventure, be sure and check out Skyline Drive outside of Cañon City Colorado. This access road is a one-way street that climbs into the sky with huge drops on both sides.
